Search for People

• Search for people and then click on a name to view the corresponding person's record. You can change the order of search results by clicking on the column headings (Generic Name, Epithet etc).
• Use the filters on the left to narrow the list by the available attributes. You can also open the Bar and Bubble chart links on the left to explore summary information about the current results.
• Search executes the search based on the current inputs, whereas Reset button removes all selections and filters, including those configured in Advanced Options.
• Generic Name Search: Use the generic search box to look up people by keyword.
• Advanced Options: Click to open the advanced search menu. Select one or more filter categories (for example, Event, Event Date, or Place), then choose the desired values for each filter. The selected filters are applied when you click Search, displaying only records that match the chosen criteria.
• Religious Affiliations: Used to classify records according to their religious tradition and sectarian lineage.
• Life Dates are shown using the Indian calendar, with Gregorian dates displayed in brackets, for example [1990].
• Honorific / Epithet: A title, respectful form of address, or descriptive name associated with a person.
